Well Then…

This is really happening. It's amazing how easy it is to talk about something but not realize the meaning and implications of it until you're actually doing it. I've gone through at least 20 different emotions in the last ten minutes! Haha. I've decided that there isn't really a word that describes how excited/expectant I am. Meeting my team in 24 hours. so i guess it’s time to start packing?

So I guess it’s that time. Time to get going on my big adventure to Uganda. Let’s go through the check list, shall we? Plain ticket to training camp- check Medication bought- check Gotten 64381064781 shots- check Raised enough support money- checck All packed- uhh…. I have always been a last minute packer, and well this time is no different! Actually is anything, I am MORE last minute than every before! I mean can you blame me?! 36 hours until liftoff!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the blog for the 2012 Spring trip to Uganda.  I am so excited to see what God will do in and through our team and am very thankful for your interest in staying updated about our journey.  Our team will meet for the first time in Atlanta on the 13th where we will stay for a few days of "training camp" until we fly out for Uganda on the 17th.  We'll be working in Lira, Uganda with an organization called Victory Outreach Ministries, which has several outreaches including a health clinic, schools, and an agricultural ministry to name a...

Africa

To my dearly devoted blog readers,   Congratulations!  You have made it to the end of my Uganda journey.  This is my last blog while in Uganda (I think), and I will soon be home in the States.  Even as I’m sitting here writing the blog, I don’t know what I’m going to say.  I want to tell you what Africa is like, but there is no combination of words man can compose to express Africa’s true nature.  I want to tell you how much I love it here, but there is no amount of time large enough for me to pour out my heart fully for you.  But...
