John 14:18

John 14:18 “ I will not leave you as orphans, but I will come to you.” I am living out this verse while in Lira, Uganda. We have partnered with Victory Outreach Ministries, which consists of a large variety of ministries in its self. This morning we were given a list of about 25 different options for our ministry and were told to choose only 3-4. As I looked at the list I prayed for the Lord to given me clarification on where I am supposed to be on this list. The first option I listed was orphanages. As we walk the red dirt roads with children calling us “foreigner”...

Oh that’s cute. You still thought you would have a hot shower

Africa, Africa, Africa. Oh I love Africa. The squatty potties. The cold showers. The naked babies. The food. It’s awesome. However in the land of Lira, where my team is right now, it’s mostly established. There are a ton of Christians. Our place of residency is wonderful, and we are catered to like we are royalty. But I’ve seen so many beautiful smiles, hugged, held and played with so many beautiful children. I have felt so...

“We are nearly reaching..”

Hey there! Oh my goodness I love it here! Everyone is seriously so friendly and excited to see us! I also think it’s so neat when I start sharing Jesus with someone and they already know Him; that’s honestly a wonderful feeling. Sooo, yesterday we got to meet the Deputy of Lira(next step down from Governor). He showed us his land and family, then walked us to the border of Lira. We were sooo exhausted(and sunburnt) after walking for over 2 hours, but the landscape is just so beautiful. We were followed by about 20 children all over Lira and took turns holding their hands. God...

Is there any goat in my teeth??

Hi Everyone! Wow, I can't even begin to explain how amazing this trip has been already! Our first day in Kampala was so great! We started off by leading a beautiful woman named Alice to the Lord 😀 It was so beautiful to see us explain the Gospel to her as a team, then we all celebrated by have a dance party with a ton of locals in the street!! The first Ugandan baby I held was named Ishan, and let me tell you, he sure was sweet. As we left at 6am for Lira, a little girl named Nusfah met me at the bus to say goodbye; I will never forget her. The bus ride was so fun!! Our driver Joseph...
