Who am I?

So this was something I wrote in my journal a few days ago.  I’m just taking it straight from my journal.  My thoughts in their realness.    Who am I?  I’m a child of God who is loved by Him so much.  I’m a man of God who loves God with all my heart and wants to give my all in order to run after His heart.  I’m a warrior who’s ready to fight for the kingdom to come down to earth.  I’m a leader who has been called and equipped by God and who has everything he needs in Christ.  I’m a leader who will find...

Humble Servant and Children of God Part Two

Humble Servant and Children of God Part Two               First off, I would like to proclaim, “What an awesome God we serve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” God is reveling so much to this team and me. I’m so amazed on how much my eyes have been open since I’ve been here. Humble Servent

Jesus calls us all to be servents for others. This past Monday, my teamates and I did just that. A Simple Tour

Every Tuesday afternoon, we go to Fountain Boarding and Primary School, a local school for kids aged 6 to 14.  As soon as our van pulls up to the school, it’s like a bunch of preteen girls who’ve seen Justin Bieber’s limousine.  The monos (white people) have arrived, and the children are more than excited.  When we step out of the van, we’re instantly mobbed, especially my 3 male teammates and me.  Shouts of “Pick me up!” are heard as they pull and climb on us.  I now fully know what it is like to be an African jungle gym. ...

Children of God

One of are many ministries here in Lira, Uganda is visiting primary school children. These children have taught so much in what little time I've spent with them. The children here have a know and love the fact the the Lord is their father. One child in particular that grips my heart is a 13 year old named Daphanie Kia.        Daphanie has a heart for Christ and loves to worship and learn more about him. She loves to asks me questions about the U.S. and answers my questions about Uganda. I really enjoy talking to her, and I have a strong...

Wild Flowers

Lately, I have found myself looking back to a year ago and remembering who I was. I am shocked by how God has totally transformed my life. The girl that walked into training camp right before flying out of Atlanta to Kenya is nowhere to be found. I have been made new! I have heard my daddy's voice tell me who I am. I still can't stop singing about how he spoke to the chains I was in and watching them fall off my feet. Finally free from religion and from the lies that satan had been whispering into my ear. God has spoken and I now know who I am. A couple of days ago I had a...
