Solidarity

Last night we had the incredible privilege of being there for the first part of this:

It was amazing. Sitting on top of a pickup truck, surrounded by thousands of Ugandans as they watch a documentary about the atrocities that have happened to them; to their friends; to their neighbors. It's one thing to watch Kony 2012 in your bedroom, and another to be standing next to a guy who had been abducted by the LRA. Who knows how many other stories there were in that crowd. We only were there for the beginning, but it was enough time to catch the feeling of anticipation and tension in the air. I was almost in tears before it even started, and I still have only seen five minutes of it- but I was proud to be able to stand alongside these incredible, strong people.

Our team is praying for justice; and asking God what exactly that looks like. I would ask you to pray with us that the LRA and other rebel groups would be entirely stopped and that the countries that have been affected would move forward to a brighter future.
