This is a city that needs prayer. God sent prayer warriors. This is a city in need of the love of their Father. Our Father sent lovers. This is a city that is ready to worship their creator, and boy did He send worshippers.
Ephesians 3:17-18 "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through fath. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ."
It is so encouraging to see God working through this team of 14 college aged students. He knew the purpose every person would serve on this team, and seeing these participants step into that calling is so refreshing. What is even better then that? Seeing these participants pouring that calling back into the students of Makobore High School.
Makobore is a small, all boys high school and is the main focus point of our ministry for this Passport Trip. We will be leading devotions, heading up Sunday services, teaching classes, and building relationships during our stay here. In the short time we have spent here, walls are already beginning to fall, and as the students open up and create those lasting relationships, hearts are returning to Christ.
God has gifted this team with worship. Everyday, I see their love of Christ overflowing in everything we do. It is evident God is moving through this team, and we pray that as we work through Rukungiri, Uganda, it is not us that is seen, but Christ.
