So apparently Ogali is some sort of African…carb..that has no flavor that we are expected to eat lots of. This is in no way relevant to the rest of the blog.
So this is my official first blog. And I have about 12 minutes to write it, so I apologize for any grammatical errors/unfiltered thoughts.
We're currently in…somewhere, Georgia (about 2 hours away from Atlanta…no clue which direction) and the past 72 hours have been a crazy mash of cold weather, dance parties, Jesus and getting to know this group of people who are going to be my team for the next 4 months. Not gonna lie, getting here, there was some question in my mind as to what the heck I've gotten myself into. But praise God that He knows what He's doing.
This 72 hours has already forced me to confront so many thoughts, fears, expectations and struggles that I've learned to define myself by and I'm so excited to see all that will become over the next months.
We leave tomorrow and we are so. stoked. Yes, for the airport that has chick-fil-a, candy, chapstick …etc. but so much more for this incredible culture were all about to be dropped into.
Blogging seems to be more difficult than I anticipated. BUT we're all going to try to post at least once a week, so there's room for improvement. Thanks for all the support and prayers 🙂
