Information

First of all thanks for all the comments in my last blog! It's really
encouraging to know that people are reading and keeping up with me. Second of
all I had to do a boring blog title cause they told us not to. Sorry AIM. Lastly
this blog is jus gonna be exactly what I called it. I have shared a lot about
what God is doing but I don't think I've given you some idea of what life is
like here and what I actually do here. So hopefully I can give you a good
picture of what it's like.
Going to the schools is a big thing we do here and we have done it a lot. We go
to Fountain primary school on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We have been to
Fountain High school(where I played Volleyball). We have been to Alpha primary
which is almost 2 hrs away and most of that trip is on an African dirt road. But
what we do there is teach, tell bible stories, play soccer, and just hangout and
get to know them. Primary school is like elementary school.
We also go the prison after the 6 o'clock service ends on Sunday morning and I
have gotten to talk about God wit them and it has been really cool. we have also
gotten the opportunity to walk around where we live and talk to people and pray
with them.
Let's see life here is pretty cool. Its cool in the mornings and a dry heat in
the afternoon. It rains a good bit. I've done laundry by myself 3 times so far
by hand. Washing machines are awesome America. Uh let's see the food is
fantastic. Today for lunch we had rice, fish, and French fries. Yep French fries
America. I never knew a fan would be so important when you don't have the AC.
The people that take care of us here are fabulous. They love us so much and we
love them too. O my dad will love to hear this....I now love motorcycles. It all
started when I was to go to dive a devotion at the church we go to every Sunday.
It's called "Lunch Hour Prayer" and I was to do the devotion. So my ride was a
motorcycle and I had never ridden one before. The only option I had was to jump
on and go for a ride. Well let's jus say it was a blasty blast. You can hire a
ride here for 2000 schillings, which equals less than a dollar. And I love it. I
ride em all the time and it's definitely my preferred mode of transport. Sorry
dad. Ehh let's see what else. We have a team pet named Roger. He is a duck.
Now to Jesus things. God is working in my life a lot. One of my favorite things
do to here is have my quiet time. I mean how many people have their quiet time
in Lira Uganda? But anyway I'm really excited to get to come home and share with
my church family on august 7! Cause this is yals mission trip too. You better
keep up with your bible readings! Cause I am!
Anywho! I may not be able to get to the Internet in awhile so if it takes really
long for yal to hear from me again I apologize.
P.S. Happy Birthday dad! Il ride a motorcycle for ya! jk
