Sorry this has taken so long! I’ve now been in Lira for a week, and I am loving it! This blog was supposed to be posted during training camp, so here it is:
Over the past few days, I have realized that my life has not been declaring the fact that my God is ALIVE and active. But I have been living my life and interacting with God as if He was dead.I would ask Him for things and believe I wouldn’t receive them. I would tell Him I needed Him to speak to me, but I never expected to hear anything.
During my time at training camp, I have discovered that my God is not dead. And He does still speak to His children. He does this through His Holy Spirit. Jesus promised His disciples that He would send them a counselor, the Holy Spirit, to guide them.
The Holy Spirit is constantly speaking to God’s children. Sometimes we just have trouble listening. I know God has been speaking to me all this time, but I just started listening. I plan on continuing to listen to His voice while I am serving here in Lira.
