This country is beautiful. The scenery, the people, everything.
We have been working in Kyampisi for a week now, and already so much change is happening. Change is happening, and it is happening for God. Change that is freeing. Change that is bringing joy. Change that is beautiful.
I had many expectations when I applied for this trip to Uganda, but I didn't expect the change that would happen in myself. Many new experiences were presented to me before our team even left the country. Training week was full of worship, prayer, and team bonding. Our team, including me, have had our eyes opened in many ways. The Holy Spirit was doing work in our hearts, and preparing us for the weeks ahead.
The moment we left the airport, I could feel the diference in spiritual warfare in the atmosphere. Stepping out of my American "safety zone" was more of a shock then I expected. I expected to see the poverty. I expected to see the major differences in culture. I wasn't expecting the spiritual warfare to come as quickly and blatantly as it did.
God is changing us, so that we can change Uganda, and the hearts of the beautiful people that live here.
