Yesterday we had plans to do door to door ministry with one of the pastors from our contact church, but as usual in Africa, our plans were thrown off when we got to the church and found that Pastor James had decided to go out of town for the day. Upon this discovery, we just prayed and asked God what we should do, and we decided to go without Pastor James. Hey bloggies! So, I've been in Uganda for five days now, and it's been … interesting. Before I left training camp I was told what to expect, and that there is not usually a good explanation for why it happened except for "this is Africa." I have found this to be very, very true. Every day we've gone to do a ministry, it hasn't worked out. Yesterday we waited for nearly two hours for our van to pick us up, the morning before that we went to do a prison ministry to be told it was moved to next week, and the day before that an orphan ministry, only to be told...

Hey everyone who knows someone on the Uganda team! Just letting you know that the team is safe and having a great time here in Lira, Uganda!  The people here are so friendly, and it's been a blessing to be served by and serve along side them.  Yesterday, we had a great time playing games with children, and today, we got to experience a very early African church service!
