Oh that’s cute. You still thought you would have a hot shower

Africa, Africa, Africa. Oh I love Africa. The squatty potties. The cold showers. The naked babies. The food. It’s awesome. However in the land of Lira, where my team is right now, it’s mostly established. There are a ton of Christians. Our place of residency is wonderful, and we are catered to like we are royalty. It’s the African way. However, despite these luxuries, I walk the streets and wonder why the lord would have me here. These people are ministering to me. I’m honestly not doing anything, and it’s discouraging. However every time I think this, I am reminded of my new sister Alice.
We met Alica the first day we got to Uganda. We were sitting around on our day off playing hotspot when Alice shows up in the doorway and asks “can you tell me about Jesus?” and all fifteen of us just sat there for a second processing what she just said because we didn’t think God would make it that easy. He gave her into our hands. It was great. By the end of the afternoon Alice became our sister and walked into Christs arms. It was a beautiful day. How sweet it is. God knew our team was going to experience some slow days do He gave us Alice as a motivator and reminder, as well as Alice got a new Father. The Best Father.
Praise the Lord.
