i have met the man of my dreams. in Uganda.
being a nursing student, all things medical fascinate me. and it has always been my dream to travel to a third world country and use my medical skills and knowledge to treat and care for the people there who may not know. i have met someone here who has both the knowledge and skills and is exposing me to what this dream looks like.
Dr. Opio.
he has allowed me to help out and assist him in any way possible at the hopsital. i have witnessed many treatments and surgeries and have assisted in numerous surgical procedures. it amazes me what this man can do with the small amout of resources avaliable to him. it amazes me the confidence and knowlege as well as compassion this man has for these people.
that he has alllowed me and others on the team to come in and learn from him is a wonderful opportunity and huge blessing. i have learned so much from Dr. Opio. not just medical knowledge and about surgery, but i have also been able to see what makes a caring, wise, and compassionate health professional. i thank God for the opportunity i have in working with Dr. Opio, the man helping me expirence my dream.
