Woe to Me!

For the past 3 months we have been on our knees, crying out for God to show up here in Uganda. We are so desperate to see Gods kingdom collide with our small world. We have wanted to see, even if it was just a glimps, God in his glory. Well… this week it happened. God showed up. Really… there are no words to describe what happened. God is much bigger then our vocabulary but let me try to give you a small picture of what it looked like.

We watched as people came face to face with Gods love and saw how it changed them. We celebrated with our new brothers and sisters. We watched as people found freedom in Christ. We saw people get up and walk out of the hospital because they no longer needed to be there. We saw a town, that is extremely war torn and hopeless, hear the truth that they are not forgotten and we saw hope spring up. We saw the pastor of the church who was tired, stressed, and empty find rest, encouragement, and strength. We saw Gods kingdom here on earth. We saw God's extravegant love at war, fighting for his children. He is gentle and peaceful but he is also a feirce warrior. We saw a glimps of his glory and we are all standing in awe. There are no words.

All of us are amazed. God didn't have to show his glory. He didn't have to use us to bring his kingdom but for some reason he did. And I believe it was so that we could tell others about his awesome power and glory. So let me just tell you… our God is a POWERFUL God. I feel like I understand what Isaiah was talking about when he said, "Woe to me, for I am a man of unclean lips."
