It is day 4 here in Rukingiri and I am lovng it! We havent started ministry yet, but we have been provided with the opportunity to enter into the town and shop at the markets and build relationships with the shop owners and locals.
Yesterday a few of my teammates and I were walking all around town looking for food and people to talk to. I had so much fun exploring and experiencing what africa has to offer. One of my favorite hilights of the day was when we were buying some vegitables, a group of about 8 children ran up and attacked us wth hugs and smiles. All I could think was "I could get used to this"
God has been working on my heart these past few days…He is bringing me through a place of peace and joy, giving me rest before I dive into constant ministry. Early mornings have been a blessing; I love watching the sunrise while listening to the birds chirp and feeling the slight breeze fresh air. I couldnt have asked for a more beautiful view to wake up to.
I know God has a plan to attack Rukungiri with love and I am so excited to have the privilege to be a part of it! I am beyond thankful for everything I have been provided with; I am simply amazed.
