Coming to training camp I was expecting to learn about Uganda. I thought I would learn about what ministry I would be a part of and what cultural experiances to expect. I was expecting to go through a bunch of "team bonding excersizes" that no one acctually cared about because we all just wanted to get into Uganda.
HA little did I know what was really coming….
While I was informed on what to expect in Uganda, I was also informed on A LOT more. This training camp revieled to me that GOD IS FREEDOM. I've always known that God is powerful, but that fact has just been renforced these past few days. God has the power to break chains and bondage that satan ties us to. God can break through the sin, the shame, the guilt, the struggles, and the just plain yuck in our lives. Once God has broken those chains in our lives He GIVES US POWER. In His name alone we are empowered to show the rest of the world they can be freed from their own chains, whether they are symbolic or actual physical chains. Knowing that God gives us that power we are called to be brave. God has BROKEN THOSE CHAINS OF FEAR and we are made brave in Him. HE ALONE offers the land of the free and HE IS the home of the brave!
I am so excited to see how God uses this as my team heads out for Uganda tomorrow. We couldn't be more excited and I couldn't be more blessed with this group of incredible indeviduals! So was training camp what I expected? Nope. It was even better.
