A little bit of an update from the Real Life Uganda team:
God is moving in mighty ways out here in Uganda, both in the
capitol city of Kampala, and in the northern Lira District. From doing
door-to-door evangelism with our Ugandan brothers and sisters, to dancing
ourselves to exhaustion at an open air “crusade, the teams are doing
everything they can to see God’s glory cover this land.
While our bodies are not accustomed to this environment, and
we cannot always handle the immense amount of carbohydrates being stuffed into
our mouths (potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, rice, noodles), God is still
faithful in providing what we need and protecting us from any major sickness.
Even though we’re all exhausted from the African sun and running around all
day, we still have some wonderful times of prayer and worship.
It has also been wonderful to catch up with my old friends
from Lira, as I was here a year and a half ago on The World Race. People still
remember us and our presence, and it shows that God has left a lasting impact
through us.
Audrey and I will be split up for another week, so pray that
we can continue to lead these teams in mighty ways, teaching them the power of
the Holy Spirit, and how to keep serving and loving people in new a creative
ways.
Thank you all for your prayers, and thank you for all of
your emotional and financial support in getting all of us here.
Thanks for reading.
