Leaving my family behind may have been the hardest thing I have ever done.
But meeting this new family here in Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the best things I've ever done.
This team of people that I'm going with to Uganda is absolutely incredible. People so passionate for God that it inspires me every day, and people that I've already grown ridiculously close to in just a few short days.
I still can't believe that this trip I've looked forward to for so long is actually happening. I flew to Atlanta, I met my team at the airport, I took a bus to a camp an hour away with them, and I've participated in worship and sessions and meals and team building each day here, and every moment has been amazing, and even better than I imagined. God has shown me so much about who He is and taught me so much about who I am. Throughout this whole preparation for this trip, He has shown me that He provides, He is faithful, and His love for me is not even explainable. And I can't wait to see the things He does in Uganda! He has already surpassed my expectations with training camp. I spent hours thinking about these moments and what they'd be like, knowing they would be awesome, but I never thought they would be this incredible. I feel so blessed to be a part of this team and so amazed that God has called ME to be a part of this adventure we are about to embark on. In just a few hours we leave for Uganda, and I don't think I could be more excited, nor could I ask for a better group of people to be going with.
This is our team!
Uganda, HERE WE COME!
