Goodbye Uganda with your beautiful eyes
Oh how the time really flies
Your eyes showed me the despair, hurt, and your pain
But look a little closer and you'll see you have much to gain
Stop giving up on yourself; you have far to go
People are raising up and helping you grow
Your eyes showed me not only your pain, but also mine
Opened up my own eyes and showed me I wasn't fine
I needed a lot of work, to let Jesus reign
I let Him rule and had so much to gain
Goodbye Uganda eith your beautiful smile
There's a lot to celebrate and the celebration will last a while
You are set free, no more running
God is here and His presence is stunning
Change has come; things are being made new
God is healing every one of you
Your smile put joy in my heart
Even though I was such a small part
I discovered a happiness I never knew
Inside of me, joy grew
Goodbye Uganda with your beautiful hands
God will continue taking care of your lands
Trust Him, He will provide
His voice will be your ultimate guide
Your hands impacted me is so many ways
So much growth and change happened in our days
I love your hands, and the many hands within you
They have become family, leaving will be hard to do
My hands helped your hands; together we were intertwined
I became more tusting, loving, and kind
Goodbye Uganda with your beautiful feet
Hopefully ours again will meet
The paths you take will be challenging at times
Full of ups and downs, sometimes even crimes
God is working, such truth that holds
Dont be afraid to venture out and be bold
Your feet helped lead me down some tough streets
I didn't want to travel them; I knew my spirit would be beat
Travel them I did, alone most of the way
I learned how to rely on God and trust Him everyday
Goodbye Uganda so full of love
God is smiling down from above
You make Him happy; His plan for you is great
He only has love for you, and He's willing to wait
He never gives you more than you can bear
He helps carry the load; He really does care
Your love made me love, change, and grow
Even in the times when I felt so low
I was reminded just how much God loves me
And I was able to tell you that you and I truly are free
