If someone had told me this a month ago i probably would have laughed and shrugged it off. but to see the light in these peoples eyes when we walk into a hospital is astonishing.
This past Sunday we went to visit a hospital after attending the 6 am church service. me and 5 of my teammates walked into our second ‘wing’ of the hospital after praying over the infants and walked into a place of suffering and pain and overwhelming joy and strength at the same time. as we prayed as a group and shared a word of God i already decided i WAS NOT praying over this one woman who just looked terrible. i immediately walked over to Sarah who had been in a vehicle accident and was a little bruised up. i prayed over her and hugged her and told her i loved her and turned around. it was not to my surprise that EVERYONE was being prayed over except the woman i had previously refused to pray over. I swallowed my pride and nervousness and approached her. as i shook her guardians hand i realized that this woman had a very large tumor coming out of her neck and I could count every one of her ribs. i was absolutely torn apart. Stella soon stole my heart. I began to pray for my sister in Christ that she would be healed. She laid there completely unaffected and i continued to pray. after about 20 minutes the Holy Spirit consumed me and i began to weep over this woman. every tear that fell landed on her tumor and i fell madly in love with this woman and mourned with her. i continued to pray and just cry with her and she began to shake and her eyes got big. soon we were told it was time to leave and i closed my prayer. i told her i loved her and hugged her as best as i could and went on my way completely wrecked for Stella. She has captured my heart and it was completely broken for her.
I have full and complete faith that she will be healed in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. He loves her so much more than I could ever imagine and I cant wait to go back and see her this next week. God moves in incredible and crazy ways and breaks our hearts for complete strangers if we will only seek Him wholeheartedly and intentionally each day! Blessings this week. I encourage you all to seek and desire more of our incredible Father and Savior! I love you all!
