All These Things That I’ve Done

This week flew by in one aspect, but in another way it feels like forever. Some things that happened this week:

1. I ate goat, and it wasn’t that bad.
2. Braedon and Audrey are both now with the Kampala team, so the Lira team is alive and kickin’ with Brent as our leader.
3. 90’s worship songs were the hit this weekend— Amy Grant anyone?
4. I got my hair braided by some of the staff at Alpha, where we are staying.
5. As a team we handwashed almost everyone’s laundry–if you wanna see family, check out the Americans washing and wringing out eachothers uderwear.
6. The word |Musungoo|  is being used less and less at us, as our presence is becoming more known. (Musungoo is the Luo term for Hey white person!)
7. A little girl came up to me in church and let me hold her through the whole service, even fell asleep for a bit in my lap.
8. We have observed in several ministries and now know the way things work, Lira is about to get ROCKED by this team.

Sorry mom, I can’t find legit rainsticks anywhere– but I’ll keep looking.

Our team has been pretty shaken up this past week by a number of things including the lack of organization here, oppression of the enemy, all of us being introduced to this concept of spiritual warfare, etc. so prayers are much needed, but we are very strong together and are excited to see what this week’s ministries have to bring.

“It’s funny how I had to travel to the other side of the world to learn so much about myself…”

Love and miss you all more than I could every express and can’t wait for hugs from all of you!
