Howdy yall
I just saw my sister’s video message, listening to “i can only imagine”, i’m feeling pretty good
- I had my first soda in 7 years. That pretty all we have to drink other than water
- Had my first african bus ride. That was a experience. There was a stretch of road that, no joke, had a speed bump every 30 feet. What would have taken less than three hours in an american car on american roads took us over 5 hours.
- First time to see the effects of the LRA. I saw the mass grave of a village that was burnt to the ground. The feeling of being where a huge village used to stand is scary and amazing at the same time. When you think about the capabilities of humans and the violent tendency we have…
- First time to learn African sign language. this is two in one. I’ve never learned sign language let alone one for a foreign country. I made a trip with some of my team to a deaf school to help with them and learn African Sign Language. I’m actually picking it up pretty quick. I have another lesson tomorrow.
- I had my first encounter with an African mumba. I was so cool! me and brent walked up on it on our way to town but don’t worry yall i didn’t chase after it or anything. HAHA
- I went to my first African church and was fasinated. Ther isn’t a song you don’t dance and yell to. It’s really fun and is completely without judging which is a great feeling.
- I experienced my first African wedding this week, and … oh yeah sang at it. I t was pretty darn funny. We didn’t know we were even singing at it til about 5 minutes before it happen. I also found out how rediculous american’s weddings are. why spend so much money on a 10 tier cake and fancy wine? home-made cake and a cake works just fine.
- I put a down payment on a bike. That was interesting to have to do payments on a bike that cost about 70 american.
- I preformed my first healing. With the help of teammate, i healed a lame man. He pain in his leg and from having a problem where one of his legs was longer than the other. Afterward he said that he felt the power of God in his leg and the pain had faded.
- I had my first real view of myself spiritually. It was and still is an amazing feeling. Nuff said
things i haven’t done
- got sick/parasites/HIV
- broke any bones
- been eaten by a 800 lb perch, gator, or andocanda
- fallen out of any trees or water towers
- sliced myself open
- starved
- died
so no worry yall =)
gtg time up (i type too slow)
I love yall all so much.
