99 hours later…

We finally arrived in Lira, Uganda. I'm not going to repeat these events, just check out my other team mates blogs and you will understand the crazy adventure I have already been on. Satan has been attacking me ever since I left Texas. 2 hours before I was boarding the plane, I found of a very good friend of mine from home had passed away. And along with the "adventure" we went on. Regardless to all that, God is SO faithful. He has proven to me over and over again He knows what He is doing. My team is a team of champions! We are all so different and unique, but each bring something different to the table. Yesterday, I got the oppurtunity to play with the Pastor's children at the compound that we are staying at. They are beautiful. I helped Robina(13) and Sharon(7) dig up roots in the garden, and then on the way back I decided to carry the heavy bag of roots for them. They both looked up at me with big brown eyes, smiling from ear to ear, and said.."You? You want to carry? For me?" Um hi, I almost died. BREAK MY HEART. Then they proceeded to tell me I was a hard worker. So there ya go, mom. Afterward, I cleaned the root with them while Robina was using a knife like a ninja. They then told me I was an Africa Woman. Hahah. The point of this story is that these girls are young. Their mom left them at home to prepare dinner. I helped them from 12-6. They are beautiful, young, hard working ladies. And I adore them. I also played "football" with adam and the 3 boys. They never passed to me, boo. I can already see my heart is softening and breaking for Lira.

Here's a few facts that you might enjoy..
-Squatty's are easily the nastiest things i've ever seen. I hold my nose and don't breath while i'm using them.
-Yesterday Robina told me, "You look like you run a lot!" Best.Compliment.Ever.
-I have decided to become a Vegetarian on this trip, and possibly when I get home.
-People stare at me like I'm a celebruhty. It's great.

Adam and Glenn's mommy's…Thank you for raising such gentleman. I know they would do anything to protect us and keep us safe, and that is so comforting. They are great Men of God and I'm very thankful for them. I already dislike blogging, because there is so much going on and I don't know what to write about. So, there's that. I'm having a great time already! Love you all. We start ministry sometime this week, haha. I'm super pumped about it!

God's faithful.
