To the Very End

You know me and I know You
You're the God Who calms all my storms
You're the voice inside my head:
"Don't give up.
Don't let go.
Don't lose trust.
Don't lose hope."

You can have all my fears, God
You can have all my sins
You can have all my weakness
And I know You're with me
To the very end

I still believe there's nothing more beautiful than the love You have for me.
I still believe there's nothing more beautiful than the love You have for me, God.

[To the Very End – United Pursuit Band]

This is our last week of ministry here in Lira, Uganda. I don't have very much to say as far as blogging goes, for my heart desires so adamantly to relay all of the beauty I've witnessed to each of you in person. Even so, as some of you I have not had the joy of meeting in person, I will do my best to tell you what the Lord is doing.

Most notably among our past week's endeavors was the door-to-door ministry we were a part of on Thursday. I spoke with a Catholic woman, and though much of what I desired to say was lost in translation, I did my best to assure her that so long as we both believed in Christ Jesus by faith alone – a faith that then spurs us forth into doing the good works God prepared in advance for us to do – that we were indeed brothers and sisters, that mere titles and sects to not divide the true bride of Christ. At the end, one of our team leaders, Ben Moore, preached the Word of God, and I was caught up with my friend Aly talking with a young Muslim man. This was probably the most heart-wrenching 2 hours of the trip: so much confusion, so many lies, and so much agony in my heart for this man so lost in the illegitimate son of Abraham that he cannot see the descendant of Isaac, the true God above all, Jesus Christ. We are going back again this week Thursday, so please pray that the Lord will have His hand over Shabaan, the young man, that the Lord would guide our speech as we listen to the Holy Spirit and do the best we can to share the truth of the Gospel with him.

I am so excited to come back and be in contact with all of you again. I am very excited to launch into what God has put on my heart as the next step in His calling on my heart, for I am certain of it and I will endeavor as He has called.

God wins.
