First of all, let me just say that I love my team. That's just what we are — a team. We work so well together in every aspect. We pick up the slack for one another and help each other out in whatever way possible.
That beng said. Did I mention that we made it to Kenya?! Ever since we stepped outside of the airport I continue to be surprised in such a good way. The sky is clear and blue, there's absolutely no humidity, and the breeze gives me goose bumps. The people here seem really friendly, they get the biggest smiles and wave as we drive past. We're staying in Nairobi for the night at a backpackers' hostel. I am in love with this place! And the fact that there's roughly thirty of us sharing two sinks and two showers only adds to the adventure, right?!
Because we got into Kenya in the morning, today has been a day of rest. I am so thankful for that — I got about 7 hours of sleep — but I'm so excited to get to Busia and see what our ministry is going to look like.
