So you’re from Canada eh?

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, because lets face it i'm not really the blogger type… so we're just gonna ease into this.

Well for starters, training camp is not exactly what I expected. It has in fact been better! I not only have been prepared mentally for Uganda, but emotionally as well. My team is nothing short of amazing and we have all come together and are beginning to become a family. One thing that is a common topic is Canada v.s the U.S.  They are constantly talking about things that i have never heard of, and have come to the conclusion that the United States basically has everything, and Canada is missing out. I have yet to experience Chick filet or however you spell it. Oh and apparently I say eh alot… who woulda figured?

The first few days of camp were emotionally exhausting, but forced me to open up and sort some things out with God. It has been incredible how I can already feel a transformation in my heart, and I have a new perspective on some things.

I am also getting used to the cold showers, which will be the norm in Uganda, and just so you know, Ive been wearing the same clothes for like 4 days. Ive enjoyed being in Georgia, and when everyone complains about the cold weather I embrace it because its alot nicer here than it would be in Sasky.

At this point, I just really cannot wait to get to Africa…. because… WE LEAVE TOMORROW! Whoop YEAH!

P.s … Canadian smarties are waaaay better than the American "smarties"

Welp, See ya Uganda!
