Well it is April everyone! Only a few weeks left here in Uganda. Kenya was a nice time! Ate a lot of food that was highly Americanized, got to see friends from the other Africa teams and hang out with them. Got to premiere the ChickenHawk Video to the people there. Don’t worry, it will be available for the public when I get home in May. So be patient : ) Also got to see Giraffes if you haven’t seen the pictures yet. The link is: www.facebook.com/JordanScottPhotography That was pretty sweet, I’ve never seen that exotic of an animal. We were supposed to get to see Elephants but that didn’t pan out. Oh well, next time I come to Africa I’ll see them.
The coming weeks should be very fun, we’ve a lot of relationships and of course that means a lot of ministry to be involved in. We have been going to VOC North (a satelite campus of the church we work with) which is in a poorer area of town, Child Restoration Outreach where we work with street kids, whether it be counseling or seeking them out on the street to help them. We also help out at the hospital visiting and praying for people and some of our medical students follow Doctors around and learn from them. We go to the prison on friday afternoons and hang out with some of the prisoners, as well as on Sundays to have church with them. We are finishing up the Rugby team here soon but that is something me and John are loving. Some of the girls are helping out with a school near the church, trying to raise money for them by doing paintings and artwork with the children to sell back in America. We do bible study with some students at a local school, as well another bible study with a group of students from Sudan. Some of the girls are also involved in the worship team at church as well.
So, we have our hands in many places and are loving pretty much every bit of it! We ask that you be praying for us continually as we go into this last chapter of the trip. We are hoping to be a blessing to all those we have relationships with and that we will be blessed in return.
