Psalm 91

This passage was meant for our team. The first night of training camp we went all around Atlanta and talked to people. One guy we met was names Gregory Allen Q. We talked with him for a while, told him why we were out wandering Atlanta, and how we were going to Uganda and towards the end, he shared two passages with us, Psalm 91 and Psalm 121. We prayed with him, and went our separate ways. A few days later during one of our team meetings at training camp, Robby, our leader read Psalm 91 to us. Then after our last worship night session, the worship leader from the weekend asked to talk to the Uganda team. He said that God had put on His heart to share with us a passage from the bible…yup, you guessed it…Psalm 91. As soon as he said that, we all looked at each other and started laughing because we realized God was obviously trying to tell us something through that passage.  In the Amsterdam airport, I decided to open up my care package from work. I knew there was going to be letters from home in there, but to my surprise…God had put a little something extra in there too. As I’m looking through all the stuff my boss and co-workers put inside, I pull out a laminated scripture…of course it’s Psalm 91.

After I read it a few times, I realized this passage is for the people of Uganda. It talks all about how God will protect His people. How there will be war and fear, but how the people of God will know they are protected because God loves them. Uganda needs this truth…this passage to be spoken over them. People have seen a lot go down in this country, but God never left them. I pray all people of Uganda will know the truth that is in this scripture and that they will believe it. God is here and protecting His children. God is moving throughout Uganda. "He will rescue them" "He will be with them in times of trouble" "He is deliver them and honor them"…because he loves them
