Thank you to everyone for your continuous thoughts and prayers. I know God is listening. He is teaching me so much about Himself and myself. He is performing major heart surgery on me. Yesterday my team and the staff at Alpha Resort gave me a great birthday celebration complete with music and african cake. This year the fireworks were in our mind’s eye instead of the sky. I got this awesome maroon african shirt with beautiful patterns on it as well as some baby bananas. This past week was spent with a team from Portland, Oregon who were leading a crusade here in Lira. The last crusade night was Saturday and I spent the majority of my time with kids hanging off of me. Don’t let them fool you – they are stronger than they look. Our team is gathering ideas for teaching students at some secondary schools (teenagers) about discipleship. Many people gave their lives to Christ at the crusades but we realized that not too many know what it looks and feels like to actually walk with the Lord. We hope to follow God’s voice and teach students and teachers about walking with God each day and developing a deeper relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit is moving and we are excited to see God’s faithfulness in the second half of our trip. Thank you to everyone back home – Mom, Dad, Aaron, Maria, Mary, and extended family, for your continuous support. None of this would be possible without you!
